Classification
This refers to the status of property items such as:
- lost
- stolen
- found
- seized
- located
- damaged
- fraudulently obtained.
Complainant
Party (person) who makes a complaint or files a formal charge, as in a court of law (a plaintiff).

Incident
Event, or series of events, reported to police and recorded in QPRIME as an occurrence.
Incident status
Property crime incident may be reported with one of the following statuses:
- new
- open
- investigation commenced
- investigation completed.

Location
Where the offence took place.
M
Modus Operandi
Particular way or method of doing something.
O
Occurrence
Describes a policing incident. Property crimes are recorded as a type of ‘occurrence’.
Offence type
Type of crime, for example possession of property suspected stolen.
P
Property items
Items of property listed in a crime report. The item types are:
- vehicle
- vehicle plate
- watercraft
- aircraft
- general property
- animal
- bicycle
- alcohol
- boat motor
- firearm
- security
- drugs.
Q
QP
Abbreviation for QPRIME and prefixes the unique occurrence number assigned to each policing incident.
QPRIME
Queensland Police Records and Information Management Exchange.
S
Status
A property crime incident may be associated with one or more property-related offences. An offence may have one of the following statuses:
- cancelled
- lapsed
- solved
- unfounded
- unsolved
- withdrawn
- non-crime: solved
- non-crime: unsolved.
Subrogation right
A subrogation right is a link recorded between an insurance firm and a crime incident property item that indicates that they have claimed legal ownership of the item.
A subrogation right is exclusive: only one insurance firm may record a current right for an item in the context of an incident. An insurance firm may remove a right to indicate that the claim has been withdrawn.
